Dr. Brown received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University prior to attending Tulane University for medical school and subsequent orthopaedic residency. He received additional sports medicine training at the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital and Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Brown obtained fellowships in both sports medicine and shoulder/elbow reconstruction at Harvard University/Boston Children’s Hospital and Columbia University, respectively. During his time as a fellow and later as a Tulane Sports Medicine Faculty member he was the head team physician for Loyola University Athletics (New Orleans), and Zephyrs baseball (Houston Astro’s AAA
