Dr. J. Michael Davis earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Davis then went on to a Surgical Internship at Boston University Medical Center. He continued his training with an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine. He has been in private practice in Southern Illinois since 1992.
Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Davis is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in addition to practicing at the Orthopaedic Institute of Southern Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association and Tulane Caldwell Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Davis is also an author whose research articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
